I was a bit leery of buying a product that wasn't reviewed but I'm glad I rolled the dice.
This is a beautiful design. The top little cap is rubber coated inside and the main cap and body match up perfectly so no leaks at all.
Perfect size; not too small, not too big.
I've been mixing margaritas every day since it arrived 4 days ago.
Since I haven't had it long, I can't comment about its longevity, but this appears solidly build.

When I purchased this cocktail shaker, I was under the impression that the entire shaker would be brushed stainless steel. I saw other products on Amazon that were polished stainless, but I enjoyed the look of the brushed stainless much more. After receiving the Oggi shaker, I was surprised to find out that the top part was not in fact brushed stainless, it was polished! I was so surprised that I returned the first unit to Amazon and received a replacement. Sure enough, this second unit was also polished. While I would have enjoyed the product much more had all three parts matched, I guess I will just settle for brushed/polished combo. Nevertheless, the curvy, slimline design still makes it a handsome product. Also, the cap has a rubber/plastic insert to create a strong seal to prevent leaks. I have had no issues of this piece falling out like the other reviewer commented on. If individuals would like a picture posted of each individual part of the shaker, just leave a comment.

Wow! It's just the finest cocktail shaker I've ever used. Well made with a precision fit. The built-in strainer makes it so easy. Very classy look, and so functional. I'm gonna order at least five more as gifts. A fantastic value at this price. Couldn't be more satified.

This cocktail shaker looks great and works great. The bottom cup portion is a brushed stainless and the top is a little more polished, but looks nice.

The shaker itself works great. The top goes on with ease and can be removed just as easily. It seals tightly and nothing leaks. Other than that, not much more to say...after all it is a cocktail shaker. Just be aware it's a good one.

GREAT shaker !! No leaks and the perfect size plus it looks good on our bar. The design of it makes it very easy to hold and shake without that feeling of "it's going to fly out of your hands"

This mixer looks great, and works well. It's not the highest quality, but it's pretty well made. My one issue with this shaker was that the plastic seal on the top piece wasn't glued on very well and kept falling off. I finally super-glued it an haven't had any problem since. Other than that, I'm still really happy I bought this one. It looks good and mixes well.

This shaker is expensive compared to others but I love it and it is beautiful on my bar and works perfectly. You wouldn't think that a stainless steel cocktail shaker working well would be a big deal. It has no moving parts, you are the "motor"...but it is a big deal to me. I had, over the last few years, purchased two cocktail shakers and both of them had tops which did not come off!
The first was about $7 or 8 at the liquor department of my market and that shaker NEVER came apart, it was like it was welded on. The second was from my liquor store and I found the top to be very tight and required being handed to my husband at times to open. This is not what you want when entertaining. The Oggi Marilyn shaker is like a piece of sculpture and works effortlessly. It does not leak when shaken and opens perfectly. Why buy anything else?

I was a bartender for 4 years and can say this is a great shaker. It does NOT leak and it IS easy to get the lid off unlike most shakers. I did not use the strainer as most bartenders use the "spring strainers" sold seperately. It's large enough to make a few drinks, or you can use it to just make one. The lid sits on the inside of the base rather than the outside which makes it easier to take it off. Usually you have to tap the shaker against the bar to get the lid off, but not with this one!

So mine doens't leak - I noticed that a few customers in reviews complained about it - so mabe it's a lottery, but, hey, with Amazon you can always exchange for free if you get a defective item.

The shaker looks stylish, the top (strainer part) is indeed shiny, like one of the reviewers noticed, but then the very top (cap) is brushed like the bottom part - so it is actually pretty cool looking altogether.
The cap is fully lined with some resin-like material, so I guess that contributes to no leakage.

Interesting detail - the strainer part goes inside the bottom part, not over it like in most shakers I've had before. I noticed that it is easier to take it off that way, as compared to lids that go over in other models.

Overall - I'm very happy, great buy. Looks slim but fits more drinks than you'd expect.
